Your landlord’s responsibility for mould removal will vary based on if you are a council or private tenant. If you are a council tenant, Awaab’s Law requires your mould issues to be fixed within a tight timeframe.

If you are a private tenant, your landlord is required to fix mould issues if they are caused by structural damage.
