No, you will be able to see a GP regardless of your Biometric residence permit (BRP). You may have the phrase ‘NO PUBLIC FUNDS’ on your BRP, but this does not and should not effect your capacity to be seen by a GP. If you are on a visa, you will have paid and International Healthcare surcharge (IHS) which means you are full eligible for NHS services.

The ‘No Public funds’ note on your BRP is in relation to benefits like social housing or unemployment payments. If you are refused by a GP practice, you will need to stand your ground or seek another GP practice, the NHS is not classified as Public funds.
