It depends on what type of contract you have as a teaching assistant which would mean you do or do not get paid over the school holidays.

– Teaching assistant roles that are on a “zero hours’ contract mean that if you’re not in the classroom, you will not be paid.
– If you have a permanent contract with a school, you should receive annual salary, including the school holidays.
– If you have a ‘term-time-only’ contract, it will mean that you do not receive pay over the school holidays.
